This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") governs the privacy practices of Wann App ("Wann", "we", "us", or "our") in relation to the Wann App mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your personal data and ensuring a secure environment for AI-driven creativity.

By downloading, registering for, or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. This Policy is integrated into our Terms of Service.

 

1. Information Collection

We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve our AI features.

l    User-Provided Content:

¡ Visual Assets: Photos and videos you actively upload or capture via the App's camera interface.

¡ Facial Feature Data: To provide AI  features such as face-swapping or image generation, we analyze facial coordinates within your photos. This data is used solely for functional mapping and does not constitute biometric identification or authentication.

l    Technical and Usage Data: We automatically collect device-specific information, including IP address, hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers  (IDFV/IDFA), and time zone.

l    Tracking Technologies: We use session cookies and local storage to maintain user sessions and optimize  performance. In compliance with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT), we only access your IDFA if you grant explicit permission.

2. Purpose of Data Processing

We process your data strictly for the following functional purposes:

l    AI Feature Execution: To generate AI-powered content (e.g., face-swaps, AI video, and style transfers) as  requested by you.

l    Ephemeral Caching: Media is  temporarily cached to ensure smooth processing. Unless saved to your cloud  library, original assets are typically purged from our servers within 24  hours.

l    Service Optimization: To troubleshoot technical issues and improve the App's user interface.

Strict Prohibition on Misuse: We never use your photos, videos, or facial feature data for facial recognition, biometric authentication, or to train our general AI models without your separate, explicit opt-in.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Integration

We do not sell your personal data. Sharing occurs only with trusted partners for technical fulfillment:

l    AI Infrastructure Partners: For model inference and rendering, encrypted data may be processed via:

¡ Alibaba Cloud / Google Cloud / ByteDance Technical Services.

l    Safeguards: These partners act as Data Processors and are contractually prohibited from using your content for their own marketing, analytics, or independent model training.

l    Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

4. Data Retention and Security

l    Retention: Most visual assets are deleted immediately after the session ends. You maintain total control over local copies stored on your device.

l    Security Measures: We implement  industry-standard technical safeguards, including AES encryption for data in transit and strict access controls, to protect against unauthorized access or data breaches.

5. Your Rights and Controls

Under global data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to:

l    Access & Portability: Request a  copy of the data we hold about you.

l    Rectification & Erasure: Update inaccurate information or request the deletion of your account and  associated data.

l    Withdraw Consent: Revoke permissions for camera/photo access at any time via your device settings.

Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account via Settings > Account > Delete Account. Data will be purged following a 30-day grace period.

6. User-Generated Content (UGC) & Safety

Wann maintains a Zero-Tolerance Policy regarding objectionable content. You are prohibited from generating:

l    NSFW/Explicit Content: Pornography, nudity, or sexually suggestive imagery.

l    Non-Consensual Imagery: Deepfakes of real individuals without their permission.

l    Harmful Content: Hate speech, extreme violence, or harassment.

Moderation: We utilize automated AI filters to scan prompts and generated frames. Violations will result in an immediate permanent ban.

7. Payments and Subscriptions

All in-app purchases (IAP) are processed securely by Apple Inc. Wann does not access or store your credit card details or billing information. All subscription management is handled through your Apple ID settings.

8. Third-Party Login and Advertising Practices

8.1 Third-Party Account Login Process

When you choose to log in to Wann using a third-party account (including but not limited to Apple, Google, or Meta), we receive certain basic information from that platform to facilitate account creation and authentication. This information may include your unique identifier (ID), user name, profile picture, and verified email address.

To complete the secure authentication process, we may also transmit technical tokens or App-specific IDs back to the respective platform. You can manage or revoke Wann’s access to your data at any time directly through the privacy or security settings of the corresponding third-party platform. Please note that revoking these permissions may restrict your ability to use certain features that require third-party authentication.

8.2 Advertising, Personalization, and Analytics

To improve your experience and support our operations, we and our authorized third-party analytics and advertising partners may process your device identifiers, product interaction data, and general usage metrics. We utilize this information to:

Provide, optimize, and maintain the App's AI-powered image generation features.

Deliver personalized advertisements, improve ad targeting accuracy, and measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.

Cross-Context Data & Apple ATT Compliance:

We will never track your activity across third-party apps or websites, nor combine your data with third-party context data for personalized advertising purposes, unless you have granted explicit consent via the iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are strictly intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover a user is under 18, we will immediately terminate the account and delete all associated data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law or app functionality. Significant changes will be notified via a prominent in-app announcement. Continued use of the App after such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
